About

privately owned, family operated.

The Lodge

Enjoy some early morning coffee in front of a roaring fire. Put your feet up and relax on our deck after a ride. Play ping pong with the kids. Bring your laptop and check your e-mail. Grab a cookie and some lemonade and read the paper. Join other guests for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres before sitting down to a delicious gourmet meal. It’s all here for you.

Activities

Saddle up and go for a morning, afternoon or an all day ride. Moose Head’s minimum riding age is 6. Families and couples ride in small groups always accompanied by a wrangler. Don’t feel like riding? Try fly-fishing on one of our well stocked ponds. We have the equipment and would love to teach you if you have the desire to learn. The more experienced angler may want to fish the Snake River, which is easily accessible from the Ranch. Take a light hike down to the river, or simply relax and enjoy the splendor of the Grand Tetons from your porch.

Cabins

Moose Head accommodates approximately 44 guests in comfortable and well appointed cabins that are scattered amongst the cottonwoods and pines. Many overlook our stocked trout ponds. Most have wood burning stoves and all are equipped with small refrigerators and coffee machines, and ice is delivered daily.

Moose Head is only 18 miles north of the Jackson Hole airport (JAC), which is serviced by several different airlines, and most guests find it easiest to fly right into Jackson. It can be considerably less expensive to fly to Salt Lake City, and Moose Head is a 5 hour drive from there. You will definitely want a car while you are at the ranch, for running to town, going rafting or to the rodeo, Yellowstone or hiking. Louise is happy to assist you in making a rental reservation..
